Baptisms


BAPTISM

Congratulations as we prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism of your child with the whole family.  Baptisms are tremendous celebrations at St. Frances Cabrini.  The newly baptized is cleansed from sin, while being welcomed into the family of God as a new creation.  The entire community welcomes these special celebrations, which are administered either inside or outside of mass.
 

At St. Frances Cabrini we schedule up to two baptisms at masses on the 1st and 2nd weekends of the month and communal baptisms are scheduled outside of mass on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 12:30 p.m.

Baptism Classes

We ask that both parents attend a Baptism Preparation class.  These classes are scheduled about once a month at 12:30 p.m. in the church and last about 90 minutes.  We ask that you call 303-953-7788 to register for a class.

You do not need to take a class if you have completed a prep class within the last two years.

Godparent Information

Godparents must fill out the Godparent Information Form.  This form must be signed and sealed by the Godparent’s parish and returned to St. Frances Cabrini at least one week prior to the baptism.  The Catholic Church has clear guidelines about the requirements of Godparents.  Godparents are expected to attend a Baptism Preparation Class either at St. Frances Cabrini or another parish.

Baptism Registration
