Worship and Music Ministry

The Office of Worship and Music oversees the worship life of the parish.

It evaluates and reviews policies and guidelines related to liturgy, prepares the annual liturgy and music budgets, plans for and implements important changes in parish worship, and coordinates all liturgical ministries.

Altar Servers

Altar Servers:  Call Kristen Conrad at  303-953-7784
Description:  To assist with the celebration of the Sunday liturgies and special events.
Gifts Desired:  You must be in the 5th grade and 10 years of age or older. Reverence, attentiveness, ability to think on your feet.
Commitment: To help at one Mass every 6 or so weeks. Parental support is very important.
Opportunity: To learn about the special times at Mass and your very special duties. You are required to come to a training session every year and be willing to learn new procedures.  For more information, go to Altar Handbook link below.

May Altar Server Schedule Altar Handbook
Audio-Visual Ministry:  Call Frank Samour at  720-943-9151
Description: To provide audio and visual aids to the community.
Gifts Desired: Basic knowledge of the order of the Liturgy. Special training and orientation will be provided. 
Commitment: To commit to the schedule provided and to learn how to operate the equipment. 
Opportunity: To make things happen behind the scenes!

Communion Ministers: Call Dan Wyatt at 303-953-7774
Description: To distribute the Body and Blood of Christ to the Assembly.
Gifts Desired: A joy-filled understanding of the Eucharist and a reverence for the people as the body of Christ; willingness to work as a team member to assure orderly and prayerful distribution.
Commitment: One Mass every two or three weeks and some Holy Days. A MANDATORY workshop is given each year for orientation.
Opportunity: To grow in Eucharistic spirituality.

Hospitality Ministers (Ushers):  Call KC Van Niman at 303-972-9271
Description: To welcome people to the Liturgy, assertively assist with seating, collect the offertory, distribute the bulletins after Mass and ensure that the communion procession is a prayerful and orderly experience.
Gifts Desired: A friendly, helpful attitude. Self-direction and willingness to participate assertively in the process. Adults, Senior High youth, and families are welcome to minister.
Commitment: 4-5 Masses every other month and some Holy Days. One training session is MANDATORY each year.
Opportunity: To meet new people.

Proclaimers:  Call Marc Nestorick at 303-667-2428
Description: Proclaim the Word with care and enthusiasm in the liturgy. The Word of God is not merely print on the page. Its is ALIVE and the News is GOOD!
Gifts Desired: A good, clear speaking voice, poise and a willingness to develop the ability to proclaim the Word. 
Commitment: To be prepared and proclaim at one Mass per month. There is a MANDATORY workshop each year, plus seasonal practices. 
Opportunity: To learn and LOVE the Word.

Music Ministry:  Call Dan Wyatt at 303-953-7774
Description: To lead the community in prayerful song. 
Gifts Desired: Vocalists: ability to match pitch, & follow direction. Instrumentalists: proficiency level in your instrument. 
Commitment: Weekly choir practice and weekly liturgy with the seasonal additions.
Opportunity: To bring prayer to life through music and develop a spirituality of music ministry.

Adoration Chapel:  Call Anne at (303) 886-7370
Description: 24 hour Adoration and Intercessory Prayer.
Commitment: One Hour per week.

Greeters:  Call JoAnn Donnelly at 303- 979-7688
Description: To greet people at the doors of the church before weekend masses as an act of welcome and hospitality.
Gifts Desired: Friendly demeanor and a ready smile.
Commitment: Serve at one mass weekly or monthly.
Opportunity: To welcome the stranger and provide an atmosphere of warm hospitality for weekend worship
